Since some months ago, the handbag or the clutch is a “must” .
We have worked making some clutches* and this is the result.

 
 
We will start with navy style.
Here you have a really chic striped bag with a vintage golden button (with anchor symbol).
 

 
 
Next one… Take a look of this green colour clutch. Green is the most important colour for spring-summer.
This clutch closes with a magnetic button and it has a catching bow. It has a removable strap in case you prefer to use it as a messenger bag.
 

 
 
Last but not least you can see a basic handbag. It is made with turquoise blue cotton yarn. It closes with a zipper and it is medium size, you will be able to carry all things you need for a beatiful spring day (or night).

Our friend Begoña from BELABA had an old denim skirt lost in her wardrobe,
 
BEFORE
 
The denim skirt had no decorations and it was too long. We decided to cut it and give it a new ethnic and high fashion style.
 

 
MATERIALS
 
Estos fueron los materiales que usamos:
- Golden passementerie (decorative fringe)
- Decorative ribbon
- Black and beige thread
- Needle
- A pair of scissors
- Golden sequins (I forgot to include then in the picture ;)
 

 
AFTER
 
We sewed some passementeries on the edge of the pockets.
 

 
And for the back pockets we composed a mix between different decorations.

This amigurumi was created some time ago into a new design project by the bloggerSarai Llamas. Hers is a blog about motherhood with lots of sense of humor.
She asked us to give shape to her blog’s slogan: “I am a mother. And you, which superpowers do you have?”.
 
And we made this crochet alien mom.
Talking about this supermother… Alien moms may be purple, but they still LOVE their children and take them everywhere. Of course, they need a spaceship for taking them to school, but that´s life in the space!

Un día hablando con un miembro de la familia silayayera, que trabaja en el diseño de tecnología para ayudar a personas con discapacidad, surgió la idea de hacer una funda para el mando que maneja una silla de ruedas con motor.
El mando con el que se controla la silla de ruedas es (en este caso) una bolita negra de plástico. El usuario controla el movimiento de la silla con el mentón.
Y pensamos que estaría bien poder cambiar el aspecto de ese “joystick” y darle un poco de juego aportandole color. Hicimos fundas con ganchillo en varios colores y también adaptamos la idea de los smileys (como los que ilustran nuestra sección QUE HACEMOS) para crear una funda con una carita sonriente y guiñando el ojo.
 
Barajamos varios posibles materiales a emplear, pensando en las mejores prestaciones.
Finalmente nos decantamos por utilizar perlé egipcio ya que consideramos que el tacto sería agradable evitando posibles roces, pero que sería lo suficientemente rígido para que se ajustara a la pieza de plástico sin dejar holgura.
Hicimos un prototipo que cerraba con una goma elástica. Pero después de probarlo nos comentaron que sería mejor que se atara con una cinta (como en las fotos) para poder apretar la funda al mando y dejarla bien sujeta.
 


 
Y aquí tienes cómo le queda a Cristina la fundita de ganchillo con la que ha podido personalizar su silla.

In this case, I hand-crocheted some tube to create a circle, a V and a W. Then I sewed them together and… there my new key ring appears! As you may guess, I own a Volkswagen.
